We’d heard good things about Italian restaurant Trullo. We went for the set Sunday lunch, which consists of mixed antipasti, a pasta dish, main course and dessert. We were treated to Tuscan fennel salami, juicy Puglian olives, fried chickpea dumplings and sprouting broccoli, tagliarini with Dorset crab and Amalfi lemons, lamb shoulder braised in buttermilk and rhubarb fool. It was divine – and at £30 a head we thought it would be rude not to wash it all down with a bottle of Venetian prosecco.
