Imli did street food before it was trendy and they have a loyal following: the queues still go out the door on a Thursday and Friday night. We started with their signature Indian tapas – a diverse but compact selection of hot and cold dishes – and were impressed with the spicy squid and the aloo matar ki tikki ragda (potato cakes with spiced chickpeas). We shared a palak methi chicken and spinach curry between the two of us a. Buzzing in only the way this part of Soho can be, it’s the perfect place for an informal night out.
