Originally built in 1904, The Old Tramshed served Saltaire residents till the Fifties, after which it became a warehouse. Now it offers a lovely outside terrace, huge bar, balcony restaurant and the Refectory, where we chose to enjoy generous portions of crostini, duck rolls, tagliatelle and salmon fillet overlooked by a huge portrait of Salt’s Mill founder, Sir Titus Salt. Three courses would have been a struggle, so we finished with lovely espresso martinis from the dessert cocktails menu.
