Food from trucks is very much the thing right now, but Mexican specialists Luardos have been at this for a long time. They sell burritos and nothing else (including a vegetarian version) from their turquoise van and do them very, very well. Large, soft tortillas are wrapped tightly around expertly spiced fillings; our preference is for carnitas (slow-cooked pork) with added chorizo. Find them, alongside many other food sellers, at Whitecross Street market from 11.30am to 2pm Monday to Friday.
