Volupté’s bar has been given a candy shop-style makeover. The bar is now filled with huge pots of sweets and a candy shop-inspired cocktail menu has been introduced. The cocktails are less sweet than they sound: the toffee tease was a creamy daiquiri with a sharp kick of rum underneath. The mixology off the Bon Bon menu is equally good: we were taken with the passion fruit caipirinha, which tasted like an alcoholic Solero. If this is your local after-work drinking spot, you’re very lucky.
