Royal Ascot begins a week today, signalling the start of fancy summer hat season. We like our millinery to be intricate, striking, wearable. London-based designer Jane Taylor does just that. We’ve followed her since 2006, when she made a hat for us to wear to a family wedding. We were onto a good thing: Kate Middleton wore this hat by Jane to last week’s Jubilee service at St Paul’s.
