Sorry, team, we’re not sharing

We’re tired of the office chocolate stash. Just for once, we want our own bounty of fancy snacks that we don’t have to share with anyone else.

Posh peanut cups

The Californian, London-based chocolatier Lotto Andonian tired of friends’ requests for peanut butter cups from America so she made her own. Toppings such as Maldon sea salt and pink peppercorn meet cashew butter fillings. They’re preservative and gluten free; the dark ones are vegan and dairy free. £12.50 for build-your-own box of 10 chocolates, Eat Chic

Odd couples

We experienced the Brooklyn-based Mast Brothers’ wares first via subscription service Cocoa Runners and were struck by its wrappers and thoughtful flavours. Mast Brothers has opened a UK online store. The vanilla and smoke bar had us pulling a funny face, before realising it’s lovely, then demolishing it. £7, Mast Brothers

Salty truffles

British chocolatier Charbonnel et Walker has good form: founded in 1875, it has a royal warrant, too. Best known for its Marc de Champagne truffle, its sea salt caramel truffle is insanely rich. Great with a cup of tea. If you’re in a tea round, it will be awkward not to offer these. Oh well. Suck it up, colleagues. Truffles, £13.50 for 120g, Charbonnel et Walker

Oh, yes please

The exceptional Artisan du Chocolat created its Os Collection for those who think “nuts just take up space where chocolate ought to be”. They are millimetre slivers of high quality milk, dark and white chocolate. Their sweet centres (we’re not sure how they manage to fill such a small space, either) include lychee and rose or floral honey. Assorted Os, £17.99, Artisan du Chocolat

Super slab me

Selfridges stocks an exclusive range of British brand Demarquette’s chocolate. Pick of the bunch is the chocolate caramel slabs, filled with passionfruit, strawberry or apricot. The segment marks are useless; you will eat the whole thing in one go. Apricot caramel chocolate slab, £6.99 for 90g, Selfridges
