This chameleon is smaller than a finger nail. He’s one of four species of miniature chameleon discovered on an island off the coast of Madagascar. On Tuesday last week the Brookesia micraa species was categorised as the smallest known chameleon. Adults grow to just over one inch, but younger chameleons are small enough to stand on the head of a match.
