We’ve long been fans of yotam ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi’s restaurants for their innovative salads and mains that make lunchtimes more exciting. Their latest cookbook Jerusalem (£27, ebury Press) is a thing of beauty, in which recipe inspiration is drawn from both men’s native city, Jerusalem. The baby spinach salad with dates and almonds is delicious and the cakes don’t look too bad, either.
