This is the brainchild of MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace. It took a battering from critics when it opened earlier this year but when we visited last month, it was fabulous (helped, no doubt, by new head chef Jordi Villa who has worked at El Bulli). This being Gregg’s baby, the menu was unquestionably British. We recommend the meaty, well-seasoned lamb chops and the chocolate bomb – mousse and ice cream encased in a chocolate ball, with hot white chocolate.
