New brand The Ordinary do key ingredients at high street prices

Skincare always has a new buzzword going around, but that kind of vocabulary also tends to be pricier than the £10 moisturiser you inevitably return to when the posh stuff runs out. But new brand The Ordinary do key ingredients at high street prices: we’re talking £5.90 for hyaluronic acid and – at its highest point – £12.70 for the Buffet serum, which is packed full of peptides. That’s what we’re using at the moment, morning and night, and it’s leaving our usually dry face feeling plumped, which means makeup goes on smoother (word from the wise: use sparingly, a little goes far). Bonus points for a simple packaging that actually explains what those aforementioned buzzwords mean (and looks good too). Rather refreshing, really. From £4.90, The Ordinary at Victoria Health
